Wowzers! We are entering our busiest summer week since we started! Grateful for so many new clients tapping in and seeing what our little company with a big heart is all about.
I wanted to make sure any prospective clients know that we are adapting to the extreme heat. I have dog walking clients I do personally that range from 1 hour daily, 1/2 hour daily, or our brisk 20 minute session. The longer the walk, the earlier I start right now. By 12 heat index is up to about 100 and not safe for dogs to be out in.
What do we do on our end? We check weather like a weatherman, heat index and humidity and of course the temps. We carry water with us, we stay in shaded areas, we avoid hot pavement (we check pavement before we walk into a home we should walk a dog) and we use ice cubes as fun treats and do indoor play to balance out time outside!
Their well being matters to us, so we are constantly adapting to make sure they are ok!
If you are a summer vacation client and hope for walks, it’s gonna be hard unless they are visit 1! The human contact has value, time outside under a shade tree has value, and indoor play also has value!
Some breeds need a lot of energy burned off, so we just adapt!
Thank you to the 10 or so new families we have welcomed on this summer, and we hope to add another 10 or 15 more before Labor Day. Our team is expanding and with 3 full time Fayetteville spots filled we can handle more than is on the books!
